Tuesday 24/8 Opening of Kravín
7 pm Opening of Kravín
We'd like to invite you to visit the old cow-house which used to be part of the
Maleč manor. We will present our project of transformation of the buildings
and their environs into a new ecological art centre and present the program of
the workshops. There will be a small refreshment on the spot.
8 pm CONCERT: Bago Víska band
The local country band Bago, associated with the tavern U Fajmanů in Víska
will perform their traditional repertoire for the opening of Kravín.
Wednesday 25/8
From 10 am – Wind clock workshop (introduction to the Wind time: Gívan Belá and Michal Kindernay).
From 10 am – Amplion workshop (Amplion = communal Public Address system) meeting with the workshop facilitator Johana Švarcová.
7 pm PRESENTATION: Wind clock makers
Presentation of artists facilitating the wind-clock workshop (Gert Aertsen,
Marcio Domingues, Hannes Hoelzl), explaining how you can construct your
own wind mill/clock.
8.30 pm SCREENING: Kravín (film directed by Viola Ježková)
Film documentary about the fate of one Czech cow-house, preceded by the
introduction of the author, student of Prague Film Academy.
9 pm SCREENING: Collection of Hungarian films
Selection of Hungarian films with rural subject matter, curated and introduced
by Lívia Rózsás.
Thursday 26/8
From 10 am – workshops Wind clock and Amplion.
4 pm EXCURSION to Nasavrky:
Tour of arboretum and of apicultural education centre
Friday 27/8
od From 10 am – workshops Wind clock, Amplion and Diafilm Sound Robots.
4 pm DISCUSSION: Meeting of beekeepers
Come to the discussion with the local beekeepers, with a lecture by the head
of Czech Beekeepers Union Luďka Sojky.
7 pm PRESENTATION: Artists – beekeepers from Brussels
Belgian artist Annemie Maes will talk about her experience with the city
beehives on the roofs of Brussels and will present possibilities of artistic
experimentation with bee communities.
8 pm LECTURE: Miloš Sládek – Changes of Czech countryside in the second
half of the 20th century
Lecture of historian M. Sládek about the changes of the Czech countryside,
the agricultural cooperatives, state-owned estates, about the holiday houses
and their beneficial but also devastating effects. Why the Czech countryside is
different than the German, the Polish or the South Moravian.
9 pm LIVE SCREENING: Diafilm Sound Robots (Wir sind die Roboter)
Screening of slide films accompanied by the soundtracks prepared during the
micro-workshop led by Barbary Huber.

10 pm SCREENING: Villages and Other Islands
Villages and islands are both closed microcosms of existence. In her film
presentation, Barbara Huber will show and discuss exemplary movies of such
microcosms. Screening will be in English, with Czech subtitles.
Saturday 28/8
From 10 am workshops Wind clocks and Amplion.
7 pm CONCERT / SHOWCASE: Wind clocks
Facilitators and participants of the Wind clock workshop will give a “concert
of the wind clocks”.
8 pm RADIO PLAY: Amplion
Participants of the Amplion workshop, together with their facilitator Johana
Švarcová, will present and play the final outcome of their work.
9 pm CONCERT: Hugo a Zoe
Fresh music band from Brno combines the sounds of old video games with
singing, clarinet and other essentials.
Followed by an Improvised garden jam session, which you can join with your
own instruments.
